Reception at the airport and transfer to Wasa\u00ed Maldonado Ecolodge, where you will receive a tropical welcome juice and a brief explanation of the trip.<\/span><\/p>

Then we will start a trip of approximately two hours to Wasa\u00ed Tambopata lodge. The trip is initially carried out by land vehicle for 47km of paved road followed by 17 km of an off-road route that<\/span><\/p>

passes through settler\u2019s farms and primary forests. This road ends in a small port in the Tambopata river where our motorboat will be waiting for us to cruise the Tambopata River downstream for approximately 20 minutes, headed towards Wasa\u00ed Tambopata Lodge (Box lunch<\/span><\/p>

on the route). During the journey we will have the opportunity to observe various bird species, hopefully families of capybaras, the world’s largest rodents, alligators and other wildlife.<\/span><\/p>

Reception and accommodation at the Lodge. Introductory nocturnal walk to understand rainforest ecosystems and see and listen to the insects, bats, frogs, and perhaps some occasional encounter with some nocturnal mammal. Early wake up at 4:30 am to begin with our 60-minute journey upstream to the Macaw Clay Lick \u201cEl Chuncho\u201d in the Tambopata National Reserve. We will have the opportunity to enjoy the\u00a0beautiful natural sceneries and wildlife of the riverbanks. At our arrival, if weather permits, we will observe one of the greatest wildlife spectacles where hundreds of parrots and different species of macaws gather to eat clay, an unforgettable experience. We will have breakfast while we wait for the macaws to arrive.<\/span><\/p>

\u200b<\/span><\/span>Halfway through the morning we will return to Wasa\u00ed Tambopata Lodge. Cruising through the Tambopata National Reserve offers the best opportunities to see capybaras, tapirs, monkeys and with luck: jaguars. At your arrival, you can relax in the hammocks or have the chance of swimming in the Tambopata River. Those who wish can go kayaking on the river (*) or go fishing some of the 250 species that inhabit the river.<\/span><\/p>

After lunch, we will make a short ethno botanical walk of 1 km to learn about plants and how they integrate with the ecosystem. You will find out about medicinal plants and other uses that the native communities give them. We can see walking palm trees, sacred lupuna trees, hollow<\/span><\/p>

trees inhabited by ants and more. At nightfall, we embark the boat again to make a nocturnal caiman search. Night at Wasa\u00ed Tambopata Lodge. (B, L, D).<\/span><\/p>
