Venado Station full day

Venado Station Full Day

We start on the Interoceanic Highway seeing small villages with local people and livestock with livestock of tropical races. Then we will take a shortcut in the direction of the Reserve and Venado Station.

The shortcut is a narrow dirt road that runs initially through plantations of local species and gradually, as we move away from the road, the human presence decreases and we will gradually go into the jungle, until we reach the end of the road to the Venado Station, in a beautiful place in the middle of the Amazon, located at the intersection of 3 tributary streams of the Tambopata River.

Upon arriving at the Venado Station, you can relax enjoying a natural environment of great beauty. Then we will start the activities such as: Ethnobotanical walk through primary forest, visit to the mammal claylick, canoe around the lake, bath in the small waterfalls and the lake, learn about the agricultural products of the area, and prepare some cocoa yourself. In Venado there is also a group of volunteers with different conservation projects such as wildlife monitoring, reforestation, agriculture and more. If they are present at the time of your visit you can learn a little about their projects and see some of the pictures taken by the trap cameras positioned in strategic spots around the jungle.
